Gett'in into Summer

We are just starting our summer activities and BBQ's at church. We have our second "Sunday at the park" coming up this week and we are starting our mid-week BBQ's. We drove down to Everett for their Sunday night service and were so blessed to see some of the old faces we miss so much. We had a couple from church get married over the weekend and it was so cool to see what the Lord is doing in both of their lives and in thier families. We were so blessed to help out and be able to be a part of it.

We have been having lots of fun playing outside and with new friends, but especially with our baby bunnies.


They are only about 3 weeks old, but they grow like crazy. We are able to have a little more play time now that things are up and running. So the other day Kenya and Elijah became pirates. It all started as a wrestling match with Dad, in which Elijah's shirt got pulled over his head and he decided to pull his arms out also, just like that, you have either princess hair or if tied back in a rubber band, you are a pirate. We are glad he opted for the pirate as apposed to the princess hair. Well once that part of the pirate outfit came about. It turned into a 20 minute long quest through the dress up to find the perfect pirate costume. Oh, to be a kid again.
We spoke to the director of Annecy and Isaiah's Orphanage today and she said that they are still waiting for our paperwork to come out of the "Ministry of Foreign Affairs" which is essencially the permission position before you go to passports. If all continues to go at the pace the offices are going now the kids may be home by late fall. I know I don't even need to ask for prayer in this area as we are always so blessed to hear how many people are concerned for and pray for them daily.

We are still so excited to be doing what the Lord has called us to do and are so excited to see what comes next. A wonderful person shared a great quote with me this week and I wanted to share it with you, "Look no man in the face till thou hast seen the face of God, Speak thou with none, till thou hast had speech with the most high."- Charles Spurgeon.

Happy Father's Day!

We had a great Father's day! Kenya and Elijah's class handed out little treats for the Dad's at church.

And after church was over we came home and had a "do whatever Dad want's day." We had daddy's favorite breakfast for lunch of Bacon, Eggs and Toast. Then on Daddy''s agenda was a long nap, as he had stayed up way to late getting things ready for Sunday morning. Mom was at a homeschool conference all of Saturday and it is hard for him to get things done, when there are 2 kids who want to play with daddy all day. We then went out for ice cream and came home and snuggled watching a movie. It dosen't sound like much, but it was bliss for us.

We are being so blessed by the people the Lord is bringing to Calvary Ellensburg. There have been some new families that are so sweet and the Holy Spirit is definantly doing a work in their lives bringing them closer to Him. We are so excited they have decided to share this experience with us at Calvary Ellensburg. The set up and take down is getting smoother and quicker every week. Between 3 vehicles we can get it all there and back by 1:00 and have the rest of the day for fellowshiping and rest.

We are kicking off our summer BBQ's on Thurday night's starting on July 3rd. We have one more week of Thursday night Bible Study and then fun and food all summer long. We have men's and woman's activities going on through out the summer and we are getting so excited for all the fall ministries to get started. As this is all new stuff for us and we are excited to see what the Lord will do.

Thank you for all of your prayer for the trial. It got continued to August 17th, as the defense had not interviewed the kids, and the Lord is so good to provide, as we met a girl who works for the prosecuter's office in Ellensburg and she was able to give us so much insite into what we need to do to make sure Kenya and Elijah are getting all of the rights that they deserve in the legal system. We weren't sure who we needed to go to to make sure we were informed of what they have to do and what we could say no to, as far as appts., questionings and what things will work to our favor or not. She was able to answer all of these questions for us and we would not have been able to use all of that info. if the trial was today.

We still need prayer for CPS we are still praying about wether to get anyone else involved or just send in for another hearing and see what the Lord will do. I have always had a hard time with the "Be Still" or the "go and do" decisions. I always want to "go and do" and many times I just need to be still and trust. We know He is already the Victor, so we are not stressed out, just need prayer to keep trusting. We know he has promised that "all things work to the good of those who love Him." So we know it will all work out.

We are headed to Wannecut lake in Eastern Wa. for Monday and Tuesday. Tadd will not be able to go as he has to work. But his parents and sister are there and we have gone the last couple of years to go fishing with Grandpa. Since we have been here, we have heard a lot of "when can we go fishing mom?" So we decided we better make time to go. Thank you all for walking this amazing journey with us and praying for His will to be done in our lives and in this new work in Calvary Ellensburg. Hang'in out on the home front

We had another amazing Sunday back at the Adult Activity Center, we still had lots of wonderful servants helping to make things run smooth and Tadd's sister Dawn and her family came down for the weekend, so we put them to work also, setting up and taking down. Charity's Dad was here the week before for our kick of BBQ and now Tadd's parents are here for a three day visit and brought Kenya and Elijah's cousin Lakota. We are enjoying all of the visiting and hanging out with family and the fellowshiping with others in between.

We got a new dog from a wonderful family that could not keep her anymore. She has been Kenya and Elijah's new best friend. She is so snuggly and cuddly, but hides when visitors come. Needless to say she has not been out much lately. She just about had a rabbit dinner the other day, as someone left the rabbit door and hutch open and she managed to chase the rabbit all over the yard, until Charity heard the poor thing screaming and came to it's rescue. We are having so much fun in our new house with a new vision and the same wonderful God.




The trial date for the kidnapping was set for the 22nd and will most likely be postponed due to the fact that the defense has not had a chance to interview the kids, as we are out of town and it will take a little more work to get them together. We will know for sure what the plan is on Wednesday. We did recieve a letter yesterday in response to our asking CPS to review Charity's neglegence charge. Unfortunatly, they still found Charity as a neglectful parent. So it looks like we will probablly have to employ the sevices of our lawyer to get it overturned. We were hoping not to do this, but for some reason it seems nessesary. Please pray that the least amount of effort possible, will overturn this charge and we will not have to make it a drawn out event.

Officially kicked off!

Our kick off Sunday went wonderful! We had lots of wonderful people who helped get everything all set up saturday night and early sunday morning. The service was great, the fellowship was fantastic and the food was good! God provided the perfect park, with a great place for kids ministy. They have a fenced in hockey arena/basketball court and it worked great to run and have fun with the kids. The service was held under a small grove of trees and the BBQ was under a sheltered picnic area. I don't know if it could have gone smoother. We had lots of great people to support us in prayer and in person. Here are a few pictures.

Great Sunday Start!

We had a great sunday morning! Everything ran smooth. We had 22 people for just our dress rehersal sunday and almost all of those 22 said they are bringing someone to the kick off sunday next week. God continues to bless Calvary Ellensburg, in spite of us. We are so blessed to have such a great big God and so bless to have such great people that he has sent to bless us.
